YOUTH SUMMER D.A.N.C.E CAMP

If you have a youth that could benefit from increased physical activity and nutrition awareness, then THIS IS THE CAMP FOR THEM! Decreasing Ailments thru Nutrition & Creative Exercise D.A.N.C.E is a youth program that uses dance, music and fitness to keep youth physically active and empowers them to take charge of their health and well-being mentally and physically by mastering dance routines that they themselves help to choreograph. D.A.N.C.E increases physical activity, relieves tension and stress, teaches healthy nutrition alternatives, boost self-esteem , build confidence, endurance and rhythm, gives participants something fun to look forward to and is just an overall fun way to increase activity levels. Youth are also engaged in leaning about healthy nutrition alternatives and the benefits and disadvantages that foods can have on their well-being. Members receive a healthy meal or snack each day in attendance and on most occasions help in preparation of their meals in an effort to apply what they have learned. LESS SOCIAL MEDIA and MORE SOCIAL INTERACTION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY!!! Over time, technology has progressively become the basis of our day-to-day activities; whereas there was a time when we use to actually go outdoors…..to play!……physically! No seriously! That was a thing! Remember jump rope, hula hoop, double dutch, hop scotch, dodge ball, kickball, jacks, dancing, or just simply racing a friend down the street? Sadly, RECESS seems to have been replaced with just a flick of the wrist and scroll of the thumb. That’s right. TECHNOLOGY.
