FAQ’sWhat about purchasing tickets on the day of a show? The Box Office opens one hour prior to a scheduled performance. How can I purchase tickets for a performance on a Sunday if the Box Office is only open one hour before a performance? Tickets are also available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week online at Eventbrite.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Havre de Grace Visitors Center (450 Pennington Avenue) Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm and at the Art Emporium (220 N. Washington Street) during normal business hours. Can tickets be ordered over the telephone with a credit card and then pay for them with cash at the Box Office? No. If tickets are purchased by telephone, it will be billed directly to the customer’s credit card account used. How can I replace my lost or stolen tickets? Tickets purchased with a credit card or check can easily be replaced by going back to the point of purchase. If tickets were purchased at the box office, call our Administrative Office at 410-812-3126. If purchased through Group Sales, please call our Group Sales Department at 410-812-3126. Please try to have the exact seat locations if you only lost a portion of the tickets. Tickets purchased with cash cannot be replaced or re-issued. Can I purchase tickets over the telephone with the Box Office? No. The Box Office does not sell tickets over the telephone. You can purchase your tickets at the Box Office in person one hour prior to any performance.  How can I receive a refund or exchange on my tickets? There are no refunds on ticket purchases. What is your Student or Senior Discount Ticket Policy? The availability of Student or Senior Discounts Tickets are decided by the production company and the policy varies from show to show. Please check the show page for more information. How can I find out when tickets will go on sale for a particular show? This website has the most up-to-date show listings. What type of payment is accepted at the Box Office and online? The Box Office and online ticket site accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, cash and checks (ten business days prior to the performance date being purchased). How do I purchase group tickets?To purchase group tickets (typically 10-20+ depending on show), call our Group Sales Department at 410-812-3126. They will be happy to assist you in purchasing tickets for your group. What is your policy on tickets sold through unauthorized brokers? The Cultural Center at the Opera House does not support the unauthorized reselling of tickets at a price above printed **** value. The state of Maryland bars the resale of tickets above **** value. If you have purchased tickets from an unauthorized ticket dealer and arrive at the theatre unknowingly with a fraudulent ticket, or you arrive at your seat to find someone has been sold the exact same seat, the Opera House cannot honor, refund or exchange those tickets. Purchase your tickets online. What is your security policy?  The Opera House is committed to providing a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for our guests, staff, and performers during all performances and events. It reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items and/or those that are in breach of building policies or those that pose danger or disruption to the performance or other guests. Anyone in need of assistance during an event should inform one of the Opera House’s staff members or volunteers who will provide the appropriate assistance.  Are food and beverage services available and allowed into the Theatre? Concessions are available in the lobby areas but are not allowed in the theatre.  What is the appropriate dress for attending the Theatre?There is no specific dress code for attending shows at the Opera House. Guests are encouraged to wear casual attire or what is appropriate for the show they are attending. Where can I park?On street parking is available.  Check for a map.  What restaurants are in the area? There are many restaurants in the immediate area. Visit ExploreHavredeGrace.com. Is photography and/or recording devices allowed? As a general rule and for theatrical events, for the safety of the cast members, stage crew and the enjoyment of other guests, absolutely no photography or recording devices or any kind are permitted – this policy is strictly enforced. However, for some concerts, the Artist may make exception to non flash photography, please check for specific shows. Is standing allowed? For theatrical events and performances standing is not allowed – this policy is strictly enforced. For concerts, depending on the nature of the performance there may be occasions when guests are standing. How long are most performances? Times vary by performance, check the show pages for performance run times. Can show merchandise be purchased? Some shows may have merchandise available for sale prior to and at the conclusion of each performance. What is your child policy? Unless listed as a family or children’s event, most performances are intended for adults and teens.  Some events are not appropriate for children.  We welcome children under the age of 3 for family entertainment.  All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre.  Parental discretion is advised for all events.  Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for patrons may be removed from the theatre without refund. Are program books available? For most theatrical performances a guide is distributed to each patron free of charge. When do doors open prior to each performance?The doors typically open 45 minutes before the scheduled performance time. What is the latecomers’ policy?
