Who are we? The Athena network is the premier network for entrepreneurial women. We are passionate about helping women to grow stronger, more profitable businesses and create opportunities for career success.   The focus is to provide members with specialist training, inspirational talks and expert advice in the form of meetings, events and programmes relevant to women in business. You will already know that networking is one of the quickest and most effective ways that you can bring value to your business.  Simply by letting people know who you are, what you do and why, you create your presence and make valuable connections. At Athena we do this in a structured, but relaxed and informal, way over lunch.  Our aim is to inspire and support women towards success, and help to find business opportunities for each other. And have FUN at the same time! Come and visit our Westerham, Kent group We would love to welcome you to one of our meetings as a Visitor.  We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 12-2pm, and your meeting fee includes a sit-down lunch and refreshments. As we have a «one per profession» policy, please take a moment to check you are not ‘locked out’ of our Westerham group by clicking here to view the list of current members. To secure your place, book your ticket here and then please complete this short Visitor Registration Form where you can indicate your meal choice.   FAQs Dress Code: Prospective visitors sometimes ask us as to the dress code at our meetings. To be honest, anything goes! Our meetings, although structured and focused, also have an informal and relaxed air about them, so ladies wear whatever they would normally wear for their working day. For some, this may be a suit; for others it may be jeans! The important thing is that you are comfortable. Business Cards and Promotional Material: Please bring some business cards to the meeting to pass round, along with any other promotional material you have. ‘Monthly Minute’: At every Athena meeting we invite everyone to tell us about themselves and what business contacts or referrals they are seeking. With this in mind, please set a few minutes aside to plan and prepare your message for your Monthly Minute.  This is your opportunity to address the group with your networking requirements and lets us all know, how we, as a group, can help your business grow this month.  Who is it that you would like to be referred to?  What service are you looking for that would improve your business.  As it’s your first visit to Athena, we understand that it can be daunting, but we promise to provide a supportive environment and we can assure you that it does get easier with practice.  Many ladies find they actually come to enjoy delivering their Monthly Minute after a few meetings. The Athena Network’s ‘One Visit’ Policy Attending this meeting is an excellent opportunity to see how an Athena Network group operates, and if it is right for you and your business.  You are welcome to attend one meeting of The Athena Network as a Visitor before becoming a Member. As a Member, provided your profession is not locked out, you can visit any group anywhere as many times you like, in addition to the group you have joined. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is ample parking at the venue.  Nearest train stations are Sevenoaks and Oxted, both of which are a 15 min taxi ride away.  If you plan to come by train, let us know as one of our Members may be able to pick you up from a nearby station. We’re a friendly bunch!
