TAASCON 2016 – #MyAsianAmericanStory

▵▵▵▵▵▵ WHO ARE WE? ▵▵▵▵▵▵ TAASCON, the Triangle-Area Asian American Student Conference, was founded in 2011. Bringing together students from the three major universities of the Research Triangle of North Carolina (Duke University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University), TAASCON is an annual conference that aims to provide a platform for issues relevant to the Asian American community. ▵▵▵▵ #MyAsianAmericanStory ▵▵▵▵ Inspired by Jason Fong’s recent hashtag, we hope to encourage participants to think more deeply about their identity as Asian Americans, explore the uniqueness of Asian American experiences, bring to light the power and potential of Asian American voices, and recognize the importance of Asian Americans to our nation’s history and American society today.

All TAASCON workshops and lectures will be FREE to all accepted participants. TAASCON applications will be released Wednesday, March 8th. Spots are limited, so apply via http://www.taascon.org/registration/ as soon as possible to guarantee being a part of this opportunity to learn, grow, and make meaningful connections with our peers at NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke. The deadline for application is March 25th, 2016 at 5:00PM.
