ROYAL MARINES CHARITY – PRMC CHALLENGE 2020

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE PUT THROUGH YOUR PACES BY THE ROYAL MARINES? The Royal Marines Charity – PRMC Challenge is an event totally based around the Potential Royal Marines Course, the pre-joining fitness test for the Royal Marines. This challenge is a great event for everyone whatever your fitness levels as you just do the best you can. Although the PRMC challenge is a physical event, it is also an event based around the Royal Marines Corps values of Courage, Determination, Unselfishness and Cheerfulness. Anyone can enter the challenge as it is all about supporting the Royal Marines and the Royal Marines Charity, so whatever walk of life you’re from, whatever your fitness level, whether …… you just want to have a bash at it a team building exercise for your business fancy a challenge out of the ordinary and for the more serious amongst you ….those of you considering a career in the Corps, especially if you want a try at the PRMC without the pressure of Lympstone. It’s a great way to guage your current fitness levels and also highlight areas that may require a little more attention. Whether you are doing this challenge for fun, for team building or as a heads up for the real deal, all money raised is going to the Royal Marines Charity and it is being manned BY Royal Marines FOR Royal Marines. There are 5 different challenges. The quicker you complete each challenge – the more rest you get before rotating on to the next challenge.  The 5 stations are: – PHYSICAL ABILITY TEST – 1.5 MILER – GUN RUN – FIREMANS CARRY / DRAGS – 4.5K OFF ROADER Gates open at 09:15 – Registration is from 09:30 – 11:15 WARM UP – 11:40 TEAMS to Stations 11:55 START 12:00 FINISH 18:00 Visit: for all info ________________________________________________________________________________________ All individuals taking part are to read and sign the disclaimer. No-one is allowed to participate without a signed disclaimer. Ticket Price  £25 pp + £2.74 EVENTBRITE FEE –  (The organisers do not take any earnings whatsoever from any funds raised in association with this event so we ask that each team pay their own eventbrite fee)   OUR AIM IS TO RAISE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR THE ROYAL MARINES CHARITY SO WE WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU SET UP A JUST GIVING PAGE FOR YOUR TEAM. The ROYAL MARINES CHARITY PRMC CHALLENGE is an official event on the Justgiving website. Fundraising is optional but we would like as much money in as possible so there will be a separate award for the individual that raises the most money. All profits go to the Royal Marines Charity.  There is limited parking at the event and we would encourage you to car share. Parking will cost £2.50 per car payable at the gate.  This event will be manned by RMR Bristol, Royal Marines, Royal Marines Cadets and Staff. There will be buckets available on the day for spectator donations and all funds will go towards the Royal Marines Charity. This event is spectator and child friendly. FAQs 1) Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You must be 18yrs old to enter this event. 2) What are the WAIVER QUESTIONS? I am over 18 on the day of event I am medically fit and not suffering from any of the following: A bone or joint problem that may be aggravated by physical activity Coronary Heart Disease Chest Pains brought on by physical exertion Shortness of breath at rest or mild exertion. High/Low blood pressure Diabetes Asthma I will inform the organisers of any medical condition that may affect my participation. I am taking part in this activity entirely at my own risk and that the organisers, sponsors, charity, trustees and suppliers will not be liable for any injury or loss. I understand that my participation in these activities involves a risk of injury and even the possibility of death. I understand that 3rd Party Public Liability insurance is in force, but it is up to myself as an individual to take out additional personal insurance if I wish to do so. I have read and understand this waiver. Please check with your team members before registering your team, a disclaimer will also need to be physically signed/handed in on the day. 3) Is parking available at the event? Limited Parking is available at the event for a fee of £2.50 per vehicle, so it is advisable to car share if at all possible. Cars are parked at owners risk and the organisers and Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club accept no responsibility for any loss or damage. 3) How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Please feel free to contact the organiser by email (info@) with any questions. All questions will be answered within 48 hours. 4) What’s the refund policy? Please get your team captain to contact the organiser regarding a refund. If you find a member of your team cannot compete, the tickets are transferrable and details can be edited on the registration page. Refunds WILL NOT BE ISSUED after the 25th of June 2020 5) Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? YES – all printed tickets, health questionnaires, disclaimers and justgiving pages for each team member MUST be brought to the event and handed in at registration by the team captain.  6) Can I update my registration information? Yes  7) Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? YES – as long as all relevant information for each team member is brought to the REGISTRATION AREA by the team captain on event day. Please see Question 5 8) Can I join individually?  YES – you can enter as an individual.  9) When the tickets are sold out, is it possible to be a STAND-IN just in case of a no-show? Absolutely.
