It’s time for Riverford’s legendary annual Pumpkin Day. Pull on your wellies and join us at Wash Farm for another festival of autumnal cheer! Children’s activities include pumpkin decorating, **** painting, storytelling, and a creativity area. There’s plenty for adults too; take a stroll around our beautiful farm, hear Riverford founder Guy Singh-Watson and an expert panel debate ‘Eating for the Planet’, or pop along to Penny’s polytunnel for seed-potting and headdress-making workshops. There will be live music from Banned on the Moor and Stompin Dave, and lots of organic food and drink: treat yourself at our Farmers’ Market, grab something tasty from The Riverford Field Kitchen, or enjoy hot drinks from our lovely traders Beanbug Coffee and Lemon Jelli. We need your help – plastic-free Pumpkin day! We’re declaring 2019 our very first plastic-free Pumpkin Day. Pumpkins will be decorated rather than carved, because of the number of plastic tools needed for the carving. All food and drink from Riverford and our traders will be in 100% compostable containers. We’d love you to help us by bringing water bottles, reusable cups, reusable plates and cutlery, or even Tupperware.
