Prove It! Teaching Students to Effectively Use Textual Ev…

**Payment by credit card or purchase order.** Workshop Description One of the most common concerns we hear in schools is that students do not know how to use textual evidence in their writing. Why is this such a universal refrain? In this workshop, we will explore this question by examining effective practices for teaching this skill. We will consider how the use of textual evidence fits into the larger picture of argumentative and analytical literacy while also exploring the granular approaches required for students to master this vital skill. Participants will experience a sample lesson and will receive numerous instructional resources to bring back to their classrooms.
