Share Your Story is for aspiring authors who would like to learn from published authors and industry professionals as they share the story behind the story. Do you have a story you have been writing for what feels like forever and you just can’t seem to find a way to finish it…or are having trouble letting it go without ‘just one more’ revision? Our founder, Michelle Worthington, will teach you the tips and tricks you need to build a finished story and be happy to continue with the publishing process. She will be sharing her insights and tips into self-editing and the need for a professional edit and will be discussing the need to plot, plan and piece together the story before and during the writing process and will share her experience and expertise of working with traditional publishers and their in house editors. A portion from the price of your workshop fee will be donated by Share Your Story Australia to enable a Dalit girl or young woman aged between 13 to 19 years old access to literacy education. These girls, who come from the poorest families, have been taken out of the education system to help work on the land, or in other ways earn money for their family. This will enhance their lives through teaching them to read and write. Thank you for your support.
