This is a 6 day taught programme (5th, 6th ,20th, 27th March, 3rd, 24th April 2020) 100% attendance is required. Content: The module focuses on the knowledge and skills required by nurses and AHP’s who care for children with oncological and malignant haematological conditions. The module will cover diagnostics, treatment and management of childhood cancers, as well as genetic factors that influence treatement. Supportive care management will also be covered. Assessment: work based competencies and 20 minute oral presentation Booking: once you have booked on you will be emailed an application form. Please state if you wish to gain academic credit for the module as you will have to apply to the University of Southampton for the credits. You will be able to complete the module at Level 6 or Level 7. Course Fees: £600 for module, and additional £600 if you want to gain academic credits Prior requirements: must have attend a paediatric oncology foundation day
