As with many classically trained actors from New York, Matthew Seiden migrated to Los Angeles where he used his skills to direct live theater. He was also rewarded with many guest-starring roles on hit series such as Sister, Sisterand Party of Five. Now based in Atlanta, Matthew appears regularly in commercials and industrials and has recently appeared on Tyler Perry’s For Better or For Worse. Presently, he is head of the theater department at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, where he has taught for the last five years. Matthew will be enlisting a variety of tools, including: Fundamentals to acting: Basic acting skills, improvisation, and theater games to warm up the imagination. On-Set Movement: Physical activities, Blocking. Voice and Diction: Breath control, enunciation, tongue twisters and accents. Acting Techniques: Method acting, sense memory, character development. On Camera Performance: Acting for film, television, and commercials. Scene Study: Characterization, rehearsal process and performing.
