We’ll ask you two questions: what are your skills and what skills do you need help with? Once we know that, we can connect you with each other at the table or throughout our network. The evening will also include drinks, light snacks and of course, some valuable networking with other like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners. Our Facilitator, Nic Robertson Life has had many paths and for Nic Robertson, his path has veered in many directions. Nic was the chef and nutritionist for Cirque du Soleil and has had several roles before becoming the founder of SwapU, a startup that promotes swapping. In between these two extremely different stories, Nic has been teaching kids of all ages to cook. It is the teaching that drives Nic. The want to always learn new things and to help people to enjoy the thrill of learning and then mastering something new. It has been that inquisitive nature that has lead Nic in to the startup world. Walking in to his first “co-working” space he wondered why nobody was co-working. He decided to put an end to that and to get connected himself by starting a skill exchange. It turns out that lots of people were looking for the same thing, real connection in a virtually connected world.
