Glebe has a rich Aboriginal history and culture, and this bus tour will show you the places that are central to that history and culture. The Society wishes to thank the members of the local Aboriginal community and Glebe NAIDOC for organizing the tour and providing the tour guide and the bus driver. See where the 1965 ‘Freedom Rides’ started from at the University of Sydney and where it ended – outside Charlie Perkins’ home in Catherine St Glebe. Other locations on the tour will be advised at a later date. This tour is suitable for people in wheelchairs – please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
