Book Arts: Artists, Books and Independent Publishers of NYC | Center for Book Arts Books and book art encompass nearly every form of printed, written and even electronic communication, making them vital tools to examine the ways we define ourselves. Book art uses the ideas, forms, and concepts of the book format to analyze larger issues around identity, community, culture, and society. Join us to learn more about what a work of book art is, how the interplay of form and content work together, and how versatile this artform is at crossing boundaries and touching everyone.
