Ethics At Work – Sydney, November 2019

In today’s business world, people are expected to work in multi-faceted complex environments; navigate policy and regulations; create lasting relationships built on trust, and make fast and significant decisions every day. Being overloaded with information, opinions and expectations is a normal operating mode for people. It’s blurry and not many people feel comfortable in this space.  ETHICS AT WORK is a half-day workshop that will build your confidence and equip you with resources to put ethics into focus in your workplace. You will gain relevant and contemporary knowledge about applied ethics that is practical and easy to put into action both professionally and personally. Because whether you’re consciously thinking about it or not, we all ‘do ethics’ every time we act on the question, ‘what should I do?’ During the workshop, you will be introduced to useful tools that can help you unpack, think and be more informed and strategic about how you approach work and the decisions you make. Using realistic scenarios, you will practice resolving complex ethical dilemmas.  At a personal level, the space for ethical reflection will help you be consistent in your judgements, understand the reasons for your beliefs and critically examine your own and others’ opinions. Within an organisational context, ethics plays a vital role in risk management, in building skilled and collaborative teams, driving innovation and building trust with peers and Outcomes By attending the workshop you will be able to: Discuss ethics and ethical issues you identify at work Recognise different decision making styles and alternative perspectives Apply an ethical decision making process to enable better decisions in the workplace Upon completion of Ethics At Work, you will receive a certificate of achievement from The Ethics AT WORK will appeal to a wide range of people. Whether you want to ensure your whole team or organisation have the same level of competency in ethics for your workplace; build your skills to lead an ethical workforce and develop open, speak-up cultures among your team; better deal with complex issues and make good decisions; or if you **** tough client or stakeholder dilemmas, you will leave this workshop equipped to work through difficult issues and have increased skills in making ethical decisions.    The program is limited to 20 people per workshop. What makes this workshop special? We believe in an experiential learning approach. In exploring real life scenarios through reading, writing, discussion and group problem solving, it opens the space for self-analysis and high impact engagement with course content. This approach means that you not only retain the information, but enjoy the process of learning it. With small groups, it offers the opportunity to build a network of like-minded professionals to practice learnings from the program going forward.
