Cyber Security – White Hackers – 7/1-7/5

What exactly is the internet? How is it built, and is it secure? This program is designed for boys and girls ages 11 – 15. This is a camp for beginner and Intermediate level. Students become aware of their digital-selves online and understand how to protect their identity and their data. They also learn how data can be encrypted and that cryptography was used way before computers were invented. How do companies secure their data and what exactly are malware, viruses, and anti-viruses? During this program, they will also learn about the power of algorithms and how they can get to the same outcome using different solutions. Finally, students are introduced to programming languages to create an encrypter/decrypter program. They send each others coded messages and become cyber super is a important subject in today’s society and provides multiple career opportunities. As teenagers spend majority of their time on the internet, it is crucial that they are aware of how to preserve their true identity and keep their data safe. This program is designed for boys and girls ages 11 to 15. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is ample parking at our location. What can I bring into the event? Students should bring 2 snacks, lunch and water (Not nuts). Sun screen and hats as needed.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Send email to ujjwala@codeforfun.com What’s the refund policy? Full refund 7 days before the start date. No refund from one day before the start date. No refunds or make-up sessions for missed classes. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You can bring it although it is not mandatory. Can I update my registration information? Only some information can be changed, which must be made at least 7 days before the start date. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? No. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends? No. You need to make all corrections 7 days before the start date.
