Chicago HonkyTonk presents: Dan Whitaker and The Shinebenders – Hodie Snitch, Joe Wortell & the Ghost Valley Riders at Martyrs’! 8pm – $7 – 21+ Based in Chicago, Dan Whitaker and the Shinebenders play an Ameripolitan mix of honky-tonk, western swing and hillbilly jazz. Since 2002 they’ve entertained audiences with countless dance-friendly shows in Chicago and the Midwest while supporting their independent releases. On lead vocals and electric guitar, Dan Whitaker trades solos with Tom Mioduki on acoustic, while Earl Power and Chase Jackson hold steady on bass and drums. DWSB have released three albums to date, including Truck Ride in 2016. A honky tonk excursion through the past, present and future, Truck Ride charted on several Americana charts including AMA, RMR and Route 66; received worldwide airplay; and was nominated for two national awards. DWSB will release a new album of all original songs in the fall of 2017, and are currently branching out from the Midwest to deliver their unique sound to new audiences around the country. Hodie Snitch plays the songs you know and love from the likes of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, George Jones, David Allen Coe, Hank Williams Jr, Charlie Daniels, and the list goes on and on. Joe Wortell and the ghost valley riders are a Four-piece Classic Outlaw country band from Chicago and Nashville that play clever and inspired arrangements that fuse subtle hints of Blues, Surf, R&B and Pop with the great songs of Hank, Waylon, Merle, Cash and beyond. These along with their fine crafted originals can veer into spirited improvisational jams but never stray too far from the essence of a great song. Fievent.com | Contact | Privacy | Terms
