Our Animal Days are a unique opportunity for young people aged 5–15 years old to attend the shelter during the school holidays to work with our kennel team, meet our animals and learn about responsible pet ownership in a fun, relaxed environment. Our full day Animal Experience includes the opportunity to gain some hands on experience with dogs, cats, and our small animals in the rescue environment. The children get to create a craft or enrichment item, learn about how to safely interact with the animals and understand their behaviour, as well as experience cleaning and partake in a dog walk/training activity, small animal handling, and cat fussing. (parents are not required to remain during the day)
