Our comprehensive thirteen-day program includes a series of workshops, seminars, and activities designed to improve the skills key to each student’s selected competition event. Throughout the session, students will work with our expert staff in both a classroom setting and for 1-on-1 coaching, a unique aspect of CBI that ensures each student receives the attention they deserve. At the beginning of the session, we divide students in to 8-10 person lab groups based on experience level to ensure that every student is pushed to their potential without being overburdened. Every attendee will participate in practice rounds to implement their new knowledge. The session culminates in our camp tournament, which emulates the experience students will have at competitions throughout the year. CBI Texas (Session 2) accepts students interested in Public Forum, Lincoln-Douglas, Congressional Debate, Interpretation, Original Oratory, and Extemporaneous Speaking. High school students (entering 9th through 12th grade after the summer) and middle school students (entering 6th through 8th grade after the summer) are welcome to participate. Middle school students will participate in most of the same activities as their high school counterparts but will have breakout sessions with groups based on their experience level.
