We are holding a workshop! Bittersuite: A Masterclass in Multi-Sensory Performance Making Join performance company Bittersuite in a one-off masterclass exploring techniques for devising multi-sensory theatre and performative experience using the seven senses! Exploring Bittersuites work inspired by synesthesia, a neurological condition in which the brain confuses the senses – the day will begin by looking at the different ways we can evoke sensorial response asking questions such as, how can we see music? or hear colour? and what does blue taste like!? Games, exercises and discussions will fuel our play. In the second part of the day we will take our collective findings and look at how we can use these devices in building a short performance or ‘sensory concert’ that will be performed in an informal sharing with invited friends and guests at the end of the day. This workshop is designed for any performance artist, scientist and/or creative maker with a curiosity and openess for finding new ways to explore, experience and create! Come and play with us! The workshop will be led by the companys creative director Stephanie Singer and movement artist Linzy Na Nakorn. There are limited spaces on this workshop so please book to secure your place!
