Our workshop series will cover one industry whacking you with bills that aren’t adding up – telco, health insurance, credit cards and electricity. Come armed with your bills, prepared to go through them with a fine-toothed comb. No sweet-talking salesperson, flashy flyer or ‘blink and you miss it’ offer will pull the wool over your eyes again. You know you need to dial up a better deal, but with around 180 providers of NBN to choose from, you’re a little unsure which one to go with. We hear you. And we’re here to help. Workshops kick off with Jo Ucukalo, consumer expert, giving a brief rundown on how the Telco industry works from a profit perspective. You will then be split into teams in similar situations – singles, couples and families – and you will work in these teams to review your bills and switch to better deals. It’s Jo’s job to guide you through a tried and tested process of reviewing your bills with the help of likeminded people. While a team from NBN Co will be onhand to resolve any NBN questions you may have. Life Admin Sessions run in business hours so you can actually reach providers, ask for a better deal, or switch altogether. Be prepared to call and negotiate a better deal.
