Students, alumni and faculty from Holland College’s School of Performing Arts (SoPA) Music Performance program will help you beat the winter blues with a fundraising concert on Friday, March 3 at 7:30 in the Florence Simmons Performance Hall. SoPA music students come from as far away as Italy, Sweden, the Bahamas, and even Zimbabwe, and from as close to home as Charlottetown. One thing they all have in common is unbelievable talent. The concert is an opportunity for the music community of Prince Edward Island and the general public to see just how accomplished these young musicians are. In addition to current students, alumni will join in the fun, including Bruce Rooney and Evan McCosham from the popular band Coyote; and faculty will also hit the stage, including Alan Dowling, Sean Ferris, Alan White, Chad Deagle, and Joey Kitson. Kerry Wynne MacLeod will emcee the concert. Admission: $10 Ticket are available in advance from the Florence Simmons Performance Hall box office, any SoPA Music Performance faculty member, Long and McQuade, or from the SoPA music building at 275 Kent Street in Charlottetown.
