This one-day course forms part of the ASE Technicians Leadership Programme. Working with others can be difficult and developing your team’s skills and knowledge can also have its issues. This one-day course which is part of the ASE Technicians leadership programme, will help and support your leadership of others and how you communicate and work with individuals in your school to support an effective technical service. The course, led by Simon Quinnell, will also develop your training and continuing professional development skills and knowledge, so you can confidently support the development of technicians and teachers in your institution and beyond. The course content will explore, successful communication strategies, difficult conversations, developing your team, delivering effective CPD and training, coaching and mentoring and dealing with difficult people.  Outcomes – you will be able to: describe strategies for effective communication and assess those used in your workplace evaluate ways to effectively deal with difficult situations with others. describe methods of effective training, mentoring, coaching and feedback and demonstrate how these can be used to develop individuals by planning, implementing and carrying out episodes of CPD All refreshments, including lunch, will be provided as part of the course.
