Presented by BMW of Salem The Clay Ball auction and dinner is one of Salem’s premier social events. This annual fundraiser attracts 500 guests to the Salem Convention Center to raise money for the Salem Art Association’s community-enriching programs. Clay Ball includes both silent and live auctions featuring original works of art from some our community’s most talented, and generous, artists. Exclusive experience packages are also available; everything from tastings at local distilleries to exotic vacations are there for the taking (stay tuned for a complete list of Live Auction art and experience packages). Your ticket also includes appetizers, a catered dinner and dessert, complimentary wine from Bryn Mawr Vineyards, and craft beer from Gilgamesh Brewing. Entrée options are filet mignon, grilled prawns, or a butternut ravioli. After the dinner and live auction parts of the evening, the dance floor opens up and DJ Steve Springer from Only The Best Sound Mobile DJ and Lighting/Photobooth will keep you dancing through the night. For this year’s Masterpieces theme, guests are encouraged to transform into an iconic work of art, take cues from an artistic movement, channel their favorite artist’s wardrobe, or simply dress to impress. An inspiration list will be available online for anyone looking to get ideas, from intricate to simple. Tickets purchased by February 15 are $80, and are $95 afterward. Your ticket purchase, along with any purchases made in the auctions, benefits the Salem Art Association’s three core programs: the Bush Barn Art Center, the Bush House Museum, and Community Arts Education. The Salem Art Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization which has been serving the mid-Willamette Valley since 1919. Special thanks to our Platinum Level sponsors: Bryn Mawr Vineyards, Collier Law, Fattah Family Dentistry, PC, Gilgamesh Brewing, Pence NW Construction, Statesman Journal, and Willamette University.
